盛按：中秋咏月，莫过于苏轼的《水调歌头》。想找一个英译文，但网上的名家译文或AI翻译似乎都不令人满意。有过于修饰想像的倾向，所谓“文胜质”。于是自不量力动手翻译。才发现东坡的文字是那么朴素，我的捉襟见肘的英语单词或可派上用场。我就完全遵从原意，用简单词汇直译，自己看着适合即可。放在这里祝朋友们中秋快乐。尽管译文拙陋，敬请高手指点，不管怎样我享受了这个过程。（2026年9月25日中秋）
When is there a bright moon?
I hold wine cup to question the blue sky；
Wondering that in the palace of heaven
Which year is tonight at?
I would like to go with wind,
Yet fearing it is too cold at jade halls on so high.
My dancing makes pure shadow,
As if my doing so in the world of people.
Turning round red pavilion,
Lowering to silk windows,
Shining on the sleepless.
We should have no hatred towards
Why so often the moon’s being full at the departing moments.
Human would be happy or sad, leaving or returning,
The moon would be cloudy or fine, wax or wane,
Such things are difficult to be perfect since time starts.
I pray for my loved ones live longer,
Together enjoying the beautiful moon
Although we are far away from each other.
